  • FERRYMEAD ODE HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
    Due to another 50mm's of rain falling this week, onto already saturated grounds, the August ODE has been cancelled.
    A number of factors comes into cancelling an event and the safety of competiting horses and riders and the conditions of the grounds have been the major factor in this decision. ALL ChQ S will be ripped up and money sent back.

  • Please note that Riccarton Fendalton PC is NOT running a Show or Dressage Day on Sunday 26 September.
    (It is listed as Sat. 25 September on the calendar but this is an error).
    BUT on Sunday 26 September there will be a Cross Country and Show Jumping Training Day at Kennels Park, Yaldhurst Rd.
    The heights will be 65 cms and 75 cms for the XC course, and this will be a full course including jumps "out the back" by the Riccarton Racecourse itself. It will also include-
    * the water jump
    * the sunken road jump
    * the coffin jump
    The cost is $15 per horse, and the gates will be open from 10.00am until 3.00pm.
    Please ensure riders have an approved helmet and wear a medical armband.
    The show jumps will be set at low heights but can be adjusted.
    The ground conditions are usually very good; even on a wet day they drain well.
    This is an ideal day for a YOUNG horse or GREEN combination, OR a horse that has spelled during the winter. FREE HOT DRINKS AVAILABLE.
